Fruit Logistics was visited by a British expert in agricultural waste management
Fruit Logistics was visited by Mark Richmond, an agricultural waste management expert from the United Kingdom, and a representative of USAID Georgia. The visit to the company was part of the Agricultural Waste Management Project, which is supported by the USAID Agriculture Program. The project envisages the development of a waste management plan for one of the beneficiary enterprises, which will be in line with national regulations and international practices.
The plan calls for composting organic farming, including processing and depletion of defective and secondary agricultural products as needed. Fruit Logistics, as a logistics center for agricultural products, is actively involved in waste management programs and cooperates with their agencies. The guests visited the Fruit Logistics warehouse and fruit and vegetable processing enterprise.
